An agreement for batch 3 of 100 trainees was signed by the Higher Institute for Water and Power Technologies (HIWPT) and Jazan Integrated Gasification and Power Company (JIGPC) as part of continuous cooperation to empower the national workforce in the field of operation and maintenance (O&M) and strengthen the strategic training partnership between the two organizations.
Ayman Sawadi, HR Manager of JIGPC, and Engr. Tariq AlShamrani, Executive Managing Director of HIWPT, signed the agreement at the HIWPT Jeddah office on July 25, 2022.
The contract signing was warmly welcomed by HIWPT as it reaffirms the JIGPC management’s confidence and trust in HIWPT for their continuous partnership as well as for the quality training of young Saudis required in the Jazan region for O&M work.
HIWPT will provide a two-year vocational training program to select high school graduates supported by the Human Resources Development Fund. The program focuses on developing skills and competencies required for O&M activities under the training management of HIWPT with close coordination of JIGPC for continuous monitoring and evaluation of the training program.
Over the past two years, the agreement has helped create job opportunities for its graduates supported by JIGPC through the Training-Based Employment program implemented by HIWPT.
